How It Works
Although Focus Awards is not a Training Provider, Focus Academy harnesses the talent available through the well-qualified trainers and instructors we have on staff. Some have a professional training and education background, and others hold instructor and teaching qualifications in a broad cross section of fields, from health and safety, manual handling, first aid and paramedical, to diving and deep-sea rescue, boat handling, navigation, and other military or ‘outward bound’ skills.
All our QA staff are qualified assessors, some are IQAs, and the SMT has 3 EQAs. Our in-house service delivers tailored training solutions to help centres achieve their goals.
We have proudly developed qualifications for training providers of all shapes and sizes, from self-employed instructors delivering 2 or 3 qualification courses in sports and fitness, renting gym space for 2 nights a week, to Beauty Salons delivering nail treatments and body waxing, and full-blown national assets like British Weightlifting, as well as public sector and non-profit organisations such as the NHS, Colleges, and Universities.
We’re now rolling out training for YOUR instructors and trainers, and those aspiring to become such, in the key assessor and QA qualifications every provider needs
The tailored and flexible nature of our in-house service offers a unique opportunity for development for any training provider. Our bespoke design methodology ensures that we deliver maximum value and impact.
We can help you and your business to achieve more via iLearnitEasy, our virtual learning environment (VLE), and face-to-face either at our Head Office in South Yorkshire, at your centre, or any UK location of your choice. Depending on numbers, we can also offer a hybrid delivery option, where you can combine these environments to suit your team’s schedule. In every delivery type, our courses guarantee practical and engaging learning experiences with long-lasting impact.
We understand that your business, like ours, must always come first, so we appreciate changes to your training might occasionally need to be made.
Our in-house service provides a flexible approach and can be organised over a series of consecutive days or isolated over a range of weeks or months. The approach and dates can usually be changed during your programme should business needs demand it. While we can’t guarantee to meet every flexibility request, we’ll always attempt to make it as practical and painless as possible for both of us.
